একযোগে করোনাভাইরাস মোকাবিলার প্রস্তাব মোদীর, সম্মত বাংলাদেশসহ ৬ দেশ

নভেল করোনাভাইরাস মোকাবিলায় সার্কভুক্ত দেশগুলোকে এক হওয়ার প্রস্তাব দিয়েছেন ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। এতে বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাসহ ছয় দেশের রাষ্ট্র ও সরকার প্রধান সমর্থন জানিয়েছেন।

শুক্রবার (১৩ মার্চ) এক টুইট বার্তায় মোদী করোনাভাইরাসের বিপক্ষে লড়াই করতে সার্কভুক্ত দেশগুলোর নেতৃবৃন্দকে একটি কৌশল গ্রহণের প্রস্তাব দেন।

টুইট বার্তায় তিনি বলেন, একসাথে আমরা বিশ্বের কাছে একটি উদাহরণ সৃষ্টি করতে পারি এবং কোভিড-১৯ করোনা ভাইরাসের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াইয়ে আমরা সুন্দর পৃথিবী গড়তে আবদান রাখতে পারি। আমাদের নাগরিকদের সুস্থ রাখার উপায় বের করতে আমরা ভিডিও করফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে আলোচনা করতে পারি।

মোদীর টুইটের কয়েক ঘন্টা পরই ঢাকায় নিযুক্ত ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনার রিভা গাঙ্গুলি দাস ভিডিও করফারেন্স সম্পর্কে ভারতীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর প্রস্তাব আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে হস্তান্তর করতে বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর বাসায় যান।

পরে সন্ধ্যায় পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. এ কে আব্দুল মোমেন জানান, আমাদের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ভারতীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীর প্রস্তাবকে একটি ভাল প্রস্তাব হিসেবে অভিহিত করেছেন এবং কোভিড-১৯-এর বিরুদ্ধে লড়াইয়ে একটি শক্ত কৌশল গ্রহণ করতে সার্কভুক্ত দেশগুলোর প্রধানদের সাথে ভিডিও করফারেন্সে যোগদানে সম্মতি দিয়েছেন।

তবে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের তারিখ ও সময় এখনো চূড়ান্ত হয়নি। তবে এটা খুব শিগগিরই হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. এ কে আব্দুল মোমেন।

অন্যদিকে, মোদীর টুইটের জবাবে বাংলাদেশ ছাড়া সার্কভুক্ত আরও ৫টি দেশ- মালদ্বীপ, নেপাল, শ্রীলঙ্কা, ভুটান ও আফগানিস্তানের সরকার ও রাষ্ট্র প্রধান বা তাদের মুখপাত্ররাও এতে সমর্থন জানান। 

বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী মো. শাহরিয়ার আলমও এক টুইটে বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ভারতীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর প্রস্তাবকে স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন এবং এই অঞ্চল ও বিশ্বের এই কঠিন সময়ে দক্ষিণ এশীয় নেতাদের সাথে গঠনমূলক আলোচনার অপেক্ষায় আছেন।

অন্য দিকে ভারতের ইংরেজি দৈনিক হিন্দু লিখেছে, ভাইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাব শুরুর পর ভারত সরকার তার নাগরিকদের বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে সরিয়ে আনতে দ্বিপক্ষীয় সহযোগিতার পথে হাঁটলেও এবার মোদী আঞ্চলিক সহযোগিতার জন্য সার্কের প্ল্যাটফর্ম ব্যবহারের আগ্রহ দেখালেন, যে জোট ভারত-পাকিস্তান টানাপড়েনে প্রায় অকার্যকর হয়ে আছে।
